Website, Inquiry, and Free Scan Terms

These terms govern your use of the Tether Web Works website, inquiry form, and free website scan provided by Tether LLC, doing business as Tether Web Works. Please read them before authorizing a scan or submitting a request.

Authority and electronic acceptance

You must have the legal capacity and actual authority to authorize the requested scan. Employment by a website owner alone does not establish that authority. By selecting the authorization checkbox and activating the scan, you make the representations in the consent notice and accept these terms for yourself and, where authorized, the website owner. Do not submit a third party’s website unless you have the necessary permission. We retain the terms version and time of acceptance with the scan record.

Limited permission and scope

You grant Tether LLC and its service providers permission to make a limited number of automated requests to the public website you specify and to analyze returned content and technical signals. A preliminary availability check may occur after you enter a URL; the substantive scan begins only after your authorization. The scan does not grant permission to access private systems, bypass authentication or technical restrictions, exploit vulnerabilities, submit website forms, or change website content. We may decline or stop a scan because of technical limits, robots directives, availability, or suspected misuse.

Automated findings and your decisions

Reports are preliminary observations of selected public pages at a particular time. They may contain omissions, false positives, or estimates and may not reflect content requiring a login, user interaction, or execution of website scripts. Unavailable measurements are identified as such. A report is not legal advice, a security assessment, an accessibility conformance certification, or a guarantee of traffic, rankings, sales, or uninterrupted service. Human review is necessary before relying on findings or making consequential changes.

Requests, information, and privacy

You are responsible for the accuracy of the URL and information you submit. Do not provide passwords, payment credentials, health records, or other sensitive information. Scan records that are not submitted with an inquiry expire after 24 hours. When you submit an inquiry, the form information, any attached scan report, and the associated authorization record are retained in our internal customer workspace and sent to our business email for review and response, as described in the Privacy Notice. Running a scan alone does not submit an inquiry or subscribe you to marketing.

Free service and separate engagements

There is no charge or purchase obligation for this scan. Submitting an inquiry permits us to contact you about that request. It does not order paid work, authorize charges, grant access to third-party accounts, permit us to contact your customers, or create an ongoing service commitment. Website projects, hosting, maintenance, visibility work, follow-up workflows, or other paid services require their own written scope and applicable service agreement. These terms do not amend or incorporate Tether LLC’s internal operating agreement.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, this free service and its reports are provided as available and without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To that same extent, Tether LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the free scan or reliance on its findings. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits a right or remedy that applicable law does not permit to be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or willful misconduct.

Unauthorized use and third-party claims

You may not use this service unlawfully, misrepresent your authority, or interfere with another party’s website. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify Tether LLC against reasonable losses and costs resulting from third-party claims caused by your knowing misrepresentation of authority or unlawful use of the service. This provision does not apply to the extent a claim results from Tether LLC’s negligence, willful misconduct, or violation of law.

Changes and questions

The version accepted when a scan begins governs that scan; later changes do not retroactively change your recorded acceptance. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. For questions about these terms or your information, use our contact form.
